Bear Creek Meat Market sits on the historic Leonard town square, right next to one of our Bear Creek Country Store locations. At Bear Creek Meat Market, we take pride in offering a premium selection of meats that are locally sourced and always fresh and flavorful. Our commitment to quality ensures that our customers receive the best products available, and we invite you to learn more about what sets us apart. We carry our own Bear Creek Farms Angus beef, locally sourced chicken and pork as well as other goods and merchandise. Expect to find local wines, spices, and cheeses among other items to pair with the quality meats we carry. You can also find Bear Creek’s high quality beef at both Bear Creek Country Stores locations and at Bluebonnet Meat Company storefront locations.
Bear Creek Farms is a family-run operation located right here in Texas, and they take their cattle raising seriously. David started Bear Creek Farm in 1975 with his wife Jeannie, and his two daughters. They started with a small commercial herd and worked their way up to the large Registered Angus herd that we operate today. They currently focus on Registered Angus cattle, all raised on their own farm using all-natural methods. Bear Creek Farms beef is from steers that have been bred for their superior genetics, including a standard for marbling and tenderness that you can taste in every bite. Today, Bear Creek has country store locations in Leonard, TX and Bells, TX along with their new meat market neighboring the Leonard location.
